The Myall Lakes Retreat is held in the majestic environment of Tiona Park, at the juncture of the beautiful Great Lakes of New South Wales and the vast Pacific Ocean. Similarly, the retreat also brings together the authentic and vibrant teachings of Sogyal Rinpoche with the warmth and care of the Rigpa students and volunteers who hold the retreat. Together, this creates the perfect conditions for you to explore these profound Buddhist meditation teachings and to deeply realise the incredible benefit they can bring to your every-day life.

Retreat Options

There are two options for the retreat:

  • The Short Option starting at 5pm on Thursday 15 January & concluding in the evening on Sunday 18 January
  • The Full Option starting at 5pm on Thursday 15 January & concluding in the evening on Sunday 25 January

The retreat options are open to all.


Please register for the retreat online before the event begins.

Registration, including the Early Bird discounted option, will open soon.


It is important to check-in with our Registration Team when you first arrive at the retreat. Registrations will be open from 12-4pm on Thursday 15 January 2015.

The first session for both retreat options start at the same time: 5pm on Thursday 15 January 2015.


The short option concludes in the evening of 18 January and the full option concludes in the evening of 25 January.

It is very important that you don’t plan to leave early. Rinpoche always recommends that people plan to leave the day after the end of your retreat, so that you don’t miss anything.
