Rigpé Yeshé is an association of parents and educators that supports families in providing their children with a Dharmic education. The group aims to provide the tools that young people need to work with their hearts and minds in their everyday lives.
“Rigpé Yéshe” means, ‘the wisdom of Rigpa’ and the group was founded in Lerab Ling in France in 2005.
The heart of Rigpé Yéshé’s vision is to offer children and teenagers an authentic spiritual path so that they can grow into wise, compassionate and happy young people who have confidence in their true nature, the courage to face the challenges of the modern world and who can be truly of benefit to others.
Rigpé Yeshé in Australia
Rigpé Yeshé was introduced to Australia in 2005 by parents seeking to share the Buddhist teachings with their children. Since then, more and more children have started to see their lives in a fresh way and develop a real heart connection with the truth of the teachings.
Dharma programs for children, teenagers and families are held at at Rigpa Centres in Sydney, Newcastle and Melbourne throughout the year.

Rigpé Yeshé at Retreat
In 2006, Rigpe Yeshe introduced a comprehensive children’s program at Rigpa’s annual Australian retreat held at the Great Lakes in New South Wales. The group ran dharma classes, creative and active sessions and created a space for children to enjoy meditation and learning.
The annual retreat program has become increasingly popular and now around 110 children take part each year. They are invited to participate in dharma sessions in five different age groups as well as an adventure care program. Rigpé Yeshé provides an environment where children can experience Buddhist teachings in their own way.
